Hey!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Smekk i spiller, volum elleve. Etter ti minutter banket nabo&#8217;n tungt i veggen. For sent og fullstendig f\u00e5nyttes, hum\u00f8ret var allerede blitt til fett glis og det resterende av denne s\u00f8ndag ble en vandring p\u00e5 blomster og kj\u00e6rlighet. S\u00e5nn cirka.<\/p>\n<p>The Swamp Babies tilh\u00f8rer den generasjon band som oppstod i den norske undergrunn mot slutten av 80\u2013tallet, en generasjon som avf\u00f8dte band i eksplosivt tempo og for f\u00f8rste gang etablerte en stor norsk alternativscene. St\u00f8rrelser som Motorpsycho, Seigmen og Turboneger har sine r\u00f8tter i denne tiden, og bak de som slo virkelig stort ligger det en dr\u00f8ss band med h\u00f8y kultstatus i inn\u2013 og utland. P\u00e5 en tid da det igjen begynte \u00e5 bli bryet verdt \u00e5 h\u00f8re p\u00e5 musikalske br\u00e5kmakere, var denne banden fra Bergen blant landets aller beste. Deres brygg av protopunk, hardrock og garasje nedsprutet i fuzz og wah\u2013wah var uhyre effektiv den gang da; og er sannelig like raff i dag. Etter kort tid kom Cato Langnes (gitar og keyboard) samt Espen Moe\u2013Nilssen (trommer) med, til sammen den kvintett som i stor grad utgjorde bandets kjerne. Gode kritikker og rykte som hardtsl\u00e5ende liveband var dog ikke nok til \u00e5 f\u00e5 The Swamp Babies opp fra undergrunnen; omfattende selvskryt og trusler om \u00e5 banke opp journalister som stilte seg kritiske bidro kanskje til at enkelte akt\u00f8rer i media unnlot \u00e5 promotere bandet i s\u00e6rlig grad. P\u00e5 den annen side, med et motto som <em>Music for Scumbags<\/em> b\u00f8r det herske liten tvil om at det l\u00e5 mer enn bare ett ironisk glimt bak bandets b\u00f8lleimage.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abTwisted Tales Of Lust, Hate And Violence&#8230; And A Little Bit Of Love\u00bb er ingen halvgal beskrivelse av The Swamp Babies, ei heller er album eller band noen d\u00e5rlig kur for \u00e5 kverke vrange dager. Her samles trettifire spor fra The Swamp Babies&#8217; karriere mellom 1987 og 1993, med deres eneste fulle album i vinyls form, ep&#8217;er, kassetter, demoer, out\u2013takes og liveopptak inkludert. For en stor del veldig mye av hva The Swamp Babies&#8217; gjorde, dog med savn av kutt fra deres to f\u00f8rste vinylutgivelser p\u00e5 hhv. 7&#8243; og 12&#8243;. Hvilket er synd og skam i og med at begge disse er riktig gode.<\/p>\n<p>Sutring over d\u00e9t lagt til side \u2014 her er en massiv mengde iltre, soniske sumpbeibs st\u00f8ttet av linernote, info og korrekt harry omslag.
